Rae and Troy were married on the shores of the mighty Columbia, close to Hood River. In October! As it so happened, fortune favored the brave, and the rain held off for an intimate and distinctive celebration.

As was to be expected, I spent far more time wrangling my toddler (pictured right) than taking photos at Dan and El’s wedding (pictured left). Was so wonderful just to be there… and in a non-professional capacity!

I approach formal shots with a certain degree of trepidation; posing people doesn’t ever feel right, and at the same time you are aware that these are the pictures that will grace the walls and mantelpieces of relatives for decades to follow. Still, it went OK, and the little girl recovered from her spill!
